Hi, Coming to Pattaya over the weekend with my Thai girlfriend and would like to go to a fairly respectable bar with Live music. We have been to Hard Rock cafe a few times but would like something different this time. Hard Rock is very nice but also very expensive for the duration of the night.

A band playing a mixture of music would be great. Would really appreciate if you had any suggestions on where to go? We have a car so distance is not so much of a problem.

Moon River pub North pattaya Road. Philippino Band, good music. Respectable club, attatched to a hotel. Not expensive withgreat entertainment.

Try Utopia, Soho Square on Walking Street - left hand side. The bar is the first one. Great band and you can sit outside and watch the parade of people. Service is good and friendly.

Bar Times on Walking Street under Polo Club is also nicely done - has a restaurant at the back overlooking the water. Live band as well at the front.

Be really different and go to Leo's Blues Bar on Soi 18 (Soi Wongamat) on Pattaya-Naklua Road. Very good music from the band as well and probably a change from Walking Street.

This weekend is the Pattaya Music Festival. Three stages: one in North Pattaya (soi 4); one in Central Pattaya (Pattaya Klang); and one at Bali Hai pier. Pattaya will be well crowded, but plenty of music for all. See this page for details.

Hot Tuna bar on Walking st is good and not too expensive, also there is a band at FLB bar and for live blues and rock there is the blues factory also just off walking st.
