Phew she's got it guys! it's not quite fully sunk in yet for me as I have got so used to sitting with this for the past two and half months, but we are there now.

Listen I really do feel for you guys and I sincerly hope a speedy answer for you...I will stick around in here and do my bit.

Submittied: 4th March

Recieved: 15th May.

Congratulations username, The long wait's been worth it.

And thanks for starting this thread, I think without knowing we were all in the same position we'd be going mad by now with the length of time we've been

waiting. As TheFiend says most of us are about three weeks or less behind you so we should hopefully all be booking our tickets by the first week in June.

Congratulations tlusername. I am jealous now. :)

Looking at that list of TheFiend's i am depressed. You will all slowly fall away from this forum as you get your Visa's and i will be here all alone.

That said i am hoping that mine as well as everyone else's will be completed before the end of the month.

I was originally hoping to hear early next week in the hopes of getting my wife over here on the bank holiday weekend but now i would just be grateful to get her over here asap.

I hope TheFiend is right and the light at the end of the tunnel will be moving along quickly now.

I am so happy for you and your Mrs. I submitted the children settlement application on 9th March, after you 5 day! However, when I read this thread again. I am very excited if one day from now will be my turn too !

At least, I know that they are working on March application now !!

I hope to get over a stressful time very soon. I am very sick waiting and waiting .... hold my breath almost death now. :)

Thanks for the updates and congratulations! It must be such a huge relief, you can now plan your life again.

I submitted on the 3rd of April, even though I gathered as much information as possible it's still scary as hel_l waiting.

Good luck to all!

Congratulations to both of you, it feels like a barrier down now we're into March applications. Thanks for starting this thread, it is and has been a lifeline for me and Mrs while we wait for her visa.

Best of luck to you both in the next chapter.

Thank you.... and the best of luck to you with your application. I'm sure all be well. Your children happy they're not in school ??? I would be !

By the sounds of things, there's going to be a plane in June full of happy Brits with their wives. I've booked mine. Flying on the 16th with EVA, so if you see a farang with a pregnant Thai wife heading to Economy deluxe... cést moi !!

One thing I was goint to mention was that had I listened to Siam Legal, I'd have not submitted an application. Their advice was that I'd not get it. 100%, So, anyone thinking of using their services, think again. I had two lots of bad advice from them. First time they said they could guarantee it, then when they saw I was going to UK unemployed ( I'm not really, I'm starting my own business and have good savings ), they said I would not get it and basically cut our phone call short.

After a quick chat with a specialist in the UK, it was straight forward and nothing was questioned in my application.

Hello guys I put in mine or should I say the wife's on April 2nd just in time before the price increase :D I am going back out to Thailand in 3 days time for 3 weeks it would be nice if they sort it by then, but I do not mind if I have to come back out again a few weeks later as long as she gets the all clear, I am doing it this way as we are doing our honeymoon at least this way I can enjoy it and not think about this just in case something goes wrong, the last thing I want is to go on our honeymoon knowing that the visa has been rejected :D:)

For the guys who applied in March I wish you all the best and hope your dreams come true.

Cheers

JT

You won't be alone..... I'll keep popping in!

The wife has been finding the wait harder than I have, not knowing when, or if we will get the visa. But, I think the application package I put together was good enough to granted the visa. I put it together after reading the advice on here and the thailand-uk.com forum.

I too think my application package was good enough but i am still worried. Must admit that both this forum and Thailand-UK provided a lot of very good information not least the template posted at the top of this forum by Robwhatisname.

I think you are in Merseyside if i remember rightly Mr Fiend. Might have to meet up once we both have our wives over in Scouseland. Compare notes etc.

Any updates today, someone must have some news for us all to share? :D

It don't look like it. It is monday they have to find the desk, and talk about the weekend work starts later. :)

Sounds like a civilized place, wonder if they've got any jobs going :D

Well it certainly seems that they need more staff going by the long and torurous application processing times at the moment. :D

Still keeping my eye in here guys to see how your all doing.

My wife was quite quick to action the visa. She collected Friday Morning and then boarded a flight the next day Saturday morning to get to the UK Saturday Evening.

For those worrying, I understand where you are..but don't fret to much..you really need to screw up with a weak application with missing documents needed or a lie seen or previous overstay to mess up here. Most seem to be missing docs or previous overstay and docs are normally asked for by phone.

Fingers crossed for you all,

Well it will take 48 hours from hearing the Application is ready till we actually know if it is approved or not. After that i am planning on getting her here on the first Friday night/Saturday morning. Take a week off work to help her settle in. That will give us 9 days for buying warm clothing, stocking up on rice and generally emptying my bank account on various bits and pieces. :)
