Hi All..

I’ve just been online on the Thai Airways website to book LHR-BKK and noticed they don’t seem to have any economy seats showing on their flights. Flights seem to show F=first class & B=business class.

Anyone know if that’s the case? :o

You don't say when, but it's possible if not likely. Look on Kayak and you'll get a more accurate result with good prices.

The dates i was looking at was around the end of october. But looking on their website most months show just first class (F) & business class (:o. Maybe its just a glitch in their system, will look on Kayak though.. "cheers".

I've always found Thai Airways web site very unreliable as far as booking trips when doing so for friends. I basically use it to check schedules only. Even going to a travel agent does not help as they always say they only have the expensive economy seats available. Go to the Thai Airways office. Efficient and when cheap fare not available more often than not they will call yield management and convert the higher economy fare into the lower economy fare. I speak this from several different experiences in doing this.

Last 10 trips I bought directly from airlines, from their sites, TG, NH, SQ.

All bookings were less than 30 days prior to departure (20-25 days). Appears that within a month the airlines release all unsold tickets to travel agents and open them on their own sites.

Price difference when booking through airline sites was 20-30$ higher from discounters.

Benefits: full mileage, online choice of seats and meals.

$20-$30 or 20-30%?

Dollars. ANA flights were only 10$ more expensive direct than from the cheapest discounter (that would require you to queue at group checkin to get your voucher first and then queue again for normal checkin).

Too late to edit.

This sentence :Price difference when booking through airline sites was 20-30$ higher from discounters.

should be: Price difference when booking through airline sites was 20-30$ higher then from discounters.
