Jingthing Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I don't know what the word is for a new phrase as opposed to a new word which would be a neologism. Is there such a word for coining a new phrase? In any case, I hereby claim credit as the person to first create the phrase: "Thai-ier than Thai" It is obviously a play on the phrase holier than thou and refers to non-Thai people who internalize what they imagine to be Thai values to such a degree that they think they can speak for Thai people. They are, of course, FOOLS. Thanks for your attention.
