yeap, just like the others

Maybe but my experience is that estate cars want more cash. The cars cost more so it seems logical.

I believe that means a fixed rate. Any idea what I should expect to pay from SuvarnabhumI to Montien Riverside Hotel?

If you have reservations at the Montien, have you checked to see if they have a private car pick-up?

The one time that I stayed at the Oriental with a friend, we opted to have their "limo" pick us up. I can't recall the price, but I know it couldn't have been ridiculous, because my friend would have never agreed to it.

If you want to go to Pattaya that can be, however on the meter to bangkok is same same (ended up in one last time i arrived in BKK)

If you 'farang' without a Thai with you it'll be more expensive about 1500 bht, anything above is robbery, with Thai, under 1K..!! :o

Perhaps but I think you'll find most estate cars don't join the meter taxi queue and wait for a negotiated fee job.

I know a couple of times in Bangkok they would not use the meter.

correct me if i am wrong but this is the swampy forum and they offer a queue, and in the end if someone wants to accept a non meter taxi to bangkok (and not use the queue, they are open for negotiation. A simple nissan ride will cost you at least double if you take the AOT

However if you are in the queue for the raxi meter there will not be a difference :o
