Long-term Rental On Patong

Featured Replies

Hi All!

I'm looking for a long-term rental on Patong. Can anyone please recommend an apartment/guesthouse with kitchen and internet, preferably inexpensive (not more than 15K per month).

Thanks in advance!

Self promotion is frowned upon on the open forum. Anyone else interested in rental units then please PM me.

Just sent you a PM...

Hi all.

I'm also looking for something reasonably priced in Patong for a couple of months starting early November.

(Yes, I know it's high season :) )

Suggestions welcomed.

There are at least seven for rent/sale boards on display within one hundred yards of where I live although the rents are likely higher than 15k a month, might be worth a shot however. PM me if you want to know the location. BTW, I'm not an owner/landlord, just trying to help.

Thanks for the reply, PM sent. :)

Hi LivinginKata,

I'd also be very interested in the apartments you're offering... if you could PM me that would be much appreciated!

Many thanks,

Mark

I spoke to a lady yesterday who has a brand new block of units about 200 metres from the beach just up the road from the Patong Paragon hotel. She said 10,000 baht a month for an air-con room with TV. She told me later that was negotiable as well depending on how long I wanted to stay etc.

Never looked inside but all looked very nice from the outside, I told her the benefits of wi-fi internet for attracting farangs and she sad she would look into it.

Her family is an old patong family who are very nice.

PM already sent to you... :)

I'm new to the forum and wanted to piggyback to this topic, except that I'm looking for a 3 months rental in Kata/Karon/Nai Harn area. I know that Kata & Karon would be more pricey. Does anyone have any referral on how to find a rental? My husband & I are still in the US and we're worried about paying upfront for these rentals with an individual owner. Is there anyone reputable in the area that we can deal with? I've already responded to some ads in Phukette Gazette, contacted a few real estate agent but no results yet...

Basically, this is what we're looking for:

Villa with a private pool.

Dog friendly - 2 of them & they each weighed 26 kg & like every pet owners: of course they're well behaved & non-destructive. :)

2+ bedrooms

Moving in around July 15 or a few days after that.

Budget is max 50,000 baht per month.

Would like to be within 5 minutes walking distance to either Kata/Karon or Nai Harn beach OR

on a hill with a sea view. (I have gotten feedback that this may be tough w/our buget & pets.)

I've already been told that we should consider staying in a hotel for a week and then go looking for the long-term rental. However, the hubby wants to have a place lined up when we arrive in Phuket.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Post an ad in the "accommodation wanted" section of the phuket gazette.  I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that would love to collect 150,000 for a 3 month rental in low season.

Thanks for the responses. I did post an ad in the Phuket Gazette about 2 days ago. Just got one response from the ad. Most of the places that we liked have come back to us at closer to 55,000 baht + utilities. It could be that we are looking at the villas in a gated community.
