Koh Samui Thaivisa Party

Hey all,

I want to do a Big Thaivisa Party on Koh Samui in May or June!

We want to identify our "Home of Thaivisa in Samui" that can take care of our members for a night of fun.

Could be a big bar, a nice restaurant or a resort or hotel that welcomes us. We are open for all ideas

I'll do the marketing and promote the place so we fill it up for a great night.

Where is a good location on the island that Thaivisa can deal with to do a big Samui Thaivisa Members Party?

Please advise, we can discuss the date, time and details later, FIRST lets find THE place that you guys like.

Looking forward to your replies and ideas! Post photos and a map or description of the place you suggest!

Premier Bar in Bangrak? I know the owner he could give a good deal and probably a free BBQ. How many people would you expect?

I would say the Premier bar would be far too small ? Decent bar though and a good owner, nice guy. I know the Thai owner of the Buddy shark bar in Lamai ? Good size, on the beach and with a pool to mess about in. Let me know

It could be too small - if more than 20 showed up and the party were on a busy night. So if it's on a Fri or Sat someplace else would be better.

Buddy Shark? Isn't that the one that is maybe 50 meters south of one of the big spa/detox places across from Mama Burgers? I know some people who went there and was told it was a Thai bar and they felt very unwelcome.

Maybe someplace in Chaweng that would be easier to get to for everyone? Some of these places have second floors that could be "reserved", I'm thinking somplace like The Islander or Tropical Murphy's.

definately NOT being a feminist but the "naked sushi" marketing try -

thought to be funny -

I perceived it as a wee bit spiced with contempt towards women

and I thought of it myself a bit of abhorrent way of marketing a restaurant and bar with flair!

it's a very narrow path of being really good, outstanding and failure to hit the right nerve.

on Weekends not a bad venue, do you take care of the bills for the accomodation @ Santiburi?

Thinking about drink drivin' and possible consequences, if one can stumble into his hotel, resort, homestay

it would be quite an advantage taken into consideration that this supposed to be the "Annual Samui Thai_Visa Piss up"...

Great idea, here it comes but I think they are trying to have a private function. I might be wrong, but I think how they do their events.

How about Sunseeker bar at Petcharat Marina in Ban Rak? Very cheap Draught Chang and large bar.

Euhm, might sound a bit ridiculous, but I think it should be in an area with a lot of parking place. I suppose most of us will come by car, so Bang Rak looks more practical to me as Chaweng or Lamai beach road.
