I have heard varying reports on whether you can chop down trees on Nor Sor 3 land. Some people say you can, some you cant. some developments have chopped everything down, some only what is necessary to build the houses.

Is there a general law for the country, or does it vary from region to region? My land is in the Krabi region

If you cant chop down trees by law, is there some official "permission" you can get?

would appreciate any knowledge :o

In the UK we have something called 'preservation orders' on certain trees. But I fear Thailand does not. I understand Singapore will soon/or is now planting huge numbers of trees to appear 'green', but note that preservation orders (of life) are much like most of its laws, not actually there.
