Chumporn Bike Weekend

Does any one have any confirmed dates on the Chumporn bike weekend and the schedule.

Normally it is around the Bank holiday weekend at the start of May.

I managed to get a friendly mod to pin my Thailand Bike Weeks thread. I thought it was useful. It's now been removed by I guess, a less friendly one.  And not just placed back into the regular thread area but completely deleted. Go figure! Edited April 15, 2009 by RusticCharm

Found the dates on a website called Nickyshandlebars.com. The 2nd and 3rd of May.

We're looking into it. It's not deleted actually but set invisible and trying to see what happened.

sounds like travelmate and kottan had a fun, fast blast back into bkk. kottan blew a chain just outside his home. otherwise their ride back was problem-free. lucky b'stards

It only rained on Thursday. As I recall it, anyhooter everybody scored!

Trenty made his presence felt and got his 5 minutes of fame. At Phuket Bike week.

Kottan nearly killed a dog. (again)

Trenty got kicked out of hotel and had to move across the street to another.

Kottan then moved into his room.

Had somebody else's bit on the side hug me for an hour out of fear on the back of my bike. Feeling them nipples in my back was nice.

Ride back to Bkk was fast 'n' furious. Probably one of my fastest yet. Both the VFR and the tiger ridden hard.

Kottan chain jumped the sprocket and cracked the casing pissing out oil.

The mighty Tiger is fine except for the chain dragging on the deck.

All in all a proper lad's weekend out. A brilliant crack if I may so.

He was suppose to be elsewhere. Current hotel has room booked for another guest. Therefore politely asked Trenty to move out. He tried to create a bit of a kerfuffle. But in the end he relented and was shuffled off across the street.

So when you out riding the dog's <deleted> next? Mebbe haul the Tiger's ass out.

Ill second that travelmate, a funny funny weekend. I havent laughed (or been so drunk) so hard in a long time.

11.5hrs drive from BKK to Phuket was interesting for the first 10hrs but the last 1.5hrs was gruelling...just wanted to get there. We only stopped a few times because of the rain when we couldnt see a few feet infront of us, the rest of the time we powered through the rain like champions!

The bike week... well it was like every other bike week - thats not really the reason i attend so not to worry. I always go for the ride and just to have fun. And fun we had!

Just for the show i changed my exhaust on the ZX10R from the twin titanium akrapovic exhaust to the full race system made by boz bros which at 110 db was f'n loud as hel_l. I spent a glorious 1.5hrs discussing with the police in Phuket whether it was too loud or not, i won the argument and they let me on my way to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Yes i had to move hotels but it wasnt what you were all thinking, the hotel was overbooked and so therefore i had to go across the road. I was too hungover to sort it myself so the kind staff at the guesthouse kindly pack my bag for me to get me outta there FAST...nice people!

Overall a top weekend, i didnt join the Sunday ride home with the boys as i had business to take care of but i left the following day and the sun shinned brightly which was good. Went through Ranong for the return trip and lost a few gears along the way before meeting Peter on his new shinny R1 in Prachuap Kiri Khan and then back to Bangkok zipping through traffic at excessive speeds

On account of only travelling with a small tank bag i didnt bring my camera (iphone camera only) so not too many snapshots of the weekend. Sorry all

The boys at the Pirelli shop changing exhaust and tires from a monster sounding ZX10R to absolute animal sounding ZX10R

absolutely drenched driving 1.5 hrs in the rain from BKK to Phuket. Stopped to wring our clothes out

the reward for driving in the rain was well worth it. Thank you Beer Chang!

Well , how about a blast to petchabun twisty heaven ? anyone remember this one..dont have to do the whole loop just up and down type o thingy or not

548 km`s to Loei stay there and back down to petchabun and home so we get to do the epic twisties twice!!

Not yet. Some parts are on order. But won't be long before he is back on the road.
