Concerned reading another thread whether Immigration will accept my account

I was with SCB but as closer to home and both sick switched to Kasikorn

I have small amounts for daily living in a "normal" passbook and card savings account but asked for the best savings account

The clerk set me up with Kasikorn K treasury account

It says Fund in book in English

You have to give one days notice and simply transfer into savings passbook or cash

Please advise if this is acceptable as I have only a few days to re-locate in order to be within the 3 month "seasoning" limits.

I would esp like to hear from anyone be accepted declined in person with such an account

The interest rates are so minimal I can go back SCB Gov "PINK"bank or Krung Thai here locally.

Was going to hike into town to the bank I could switch when recovered from head injury my wife was hospitalised on way to mother in hospital and I do not feel strong enough to tackle this alone.

Thanks in anticipation

Sorry unable to edit the title it should read

Replying to Kasikorn - K Treasury FUND Acceptable? of course!

Please excuse me not running on all cylinders since gardeners handywork knocked for six!

People's experiences with such "alternative" arrangements have varied depending on immigration and officer, so I wouldn't fully trust any answer you get here will be accurate. If I were to guess, I would think you will be OK at most offices.

I suspect that it won't work because it is a fund not a savings account or a fixed term account.

The problem will be getting immigration to understand what it is.

Is your deposit amount shown as a fixed amout?

About the only way you will know for sure is go to your assigned immigration office with as much information as you can get about the account and ask them.

I didn't appreciate that this was a fund with fluctuating value. I agree, this could be a problem. I agree with ubon's advice.

Thanks guys

I dont think Ill risk it as asking the sataff here is like trying tocatch jellyfish and they will put nothing in writing Ive tried before

They just say come back but being refused an extension will be a pain so I guess I need to hobble off throught the torrents to find another home for my cash.

If the gov had any sense you would deposit at immi

It would give them acashflow and obviate need for endless letters copies etc
