hi my 30 day stamp expires on the 9th may, i understand you are able to extend this by 15 days or if you have a tourist visa that by 30 days at pattaya immigration office one time. I previosly did this back on 11th march and left before it expired on the 12th to go to cambodia on the 7th april, upon my return i was given 30 days at the airport on the 10th April, is there a limit to the number of times you can extend you're stay at pattaya immigration office within a certain timeframe or not? if so i will need to do a visa run i guess.

Any advice much appreciated.

You can not extend a visa exempt 30 day stamp - they may provide a 7 day under consideration for the normal extension of stay fee but that will be it, and may require show of tickets out. You should obtain tourist visas if you wish to remain in Thailand. They are currently free at Vientiane, PP or Penang (everywhere actually).

It can be extended for 7 days at immigration (1900 baht) if you show a ticket out of the country within those 7 days.

A 60 day entry of a tourist visa can be extended for 30 days.

Both the above are one time extensions for that entry.

You can make as many 30 or 15 day entries as you want.

If you plan on staying much longer I suggest you get a tourist visa from a nearby consulate. They are free until

June 4th.

Thanks guys,

I'm doing a run to cambodia on Saturday.

I could have saved myself some money and a lot of hastle if i had just got a tourist visa while in PP last month but was too traumatised to go out in that place.

Each to their own, i suppose some people like Cambodia.

Also be aware that if you just intend to cross the border and come back you'll only get 15 days.

Visa exempt stamps are 30 days at airports and 15 days at land borders.
