I'm glad you guys are having a good experience with the Royal Asia Hotel in Soi 8.

I used to stay there regularly when I was a tourist. And I ended up liking the neighborhood so much, I decided to move thereabouts to live.

Back in my tourist days, they never had any breakfast (or food at all) in the hotel. So it was basically just the room there for anywhere between 950 and 1200 baht in past years. Now they're including breakfast for a nightly rate not much over 900 baht, depending on where you book.

It's quiet, clean, good staff and service, nice and comfortable king size beds, free tuktuk to and from Sukhumvit Road if you don't want to talk about 500 meters, and I never had a bad stay there...
