Patpong vendors seek help from Law Society

BANGKOK: -- The vendors at the Patpong night market whose stalls were ransacked and most goods snatched by anti-piracy officials last week Monday sought legal assistance from the Law Society of Thailand in filing criminal and civilian suits against the officials.

Around 200 vendors gathered at the LST headquarters to submit their petition and discussed legal issues with LST officials. LST chairman Dejudom Krairit said the vendors could also lodge complaints with the Commerce Ministry or with the Administrative Court if the ministry refused to take disciplinary actions against those officials.

The touts near Patpong are the most aggresive sleaziest low lifes I have ever had the displeasure to meet. I can't count the times I've been walking hand in hand with my wife when some greaser comes up and tries to yank me away for a sexy lady massage whilst another guy is trying to sell me a crappy rolex. Truly pure trash in that area.

Som nam nah.

Yes, this is sort of like drug dealers going in and asking for their drugs back because the police weren't polite!

I am not a lawyer - but I have an incling that the international lobby pushing to have the sale of counterfit goods stopped, wouldn't appreciate any court ruling in favour of the crooks :)

Sort of reminds of the burglar who sues the houseowner for personal injury because he tripped on a stale sausage and broke his arm in the middle of the burglary! :)
