Networking One Event

Featured Replies

I just saw an ad in the Chiang Mai Mail about a new networking event starting this June at the Le Meridien. The idea looks like a good opportunity for those in the business community to meet each other. Unfortunately, I will not be there as I have prior plans.

However; I am interested to know about this group (Networking One). Does anyone know who is behind this or what their intentions are? (ie is it going to be a sales pitch about something?).

Thanks for any info.

I did a search and found this link but no info on there

Networking One

Did they have more info in Chiang Mai Mail - it all seems very vague.

There are quite a few good events that happen in Chiang Mai as it is. It would be nice to know what gap exactly they plan on filling.

As far as I've heard, they're linked with AA Insurance from Pattaya, who now have a new office next to Rimping Mee chok.

They still didn't change the date? Friday, 6th June 2009???

Thats correct AA Insurance are the organisers and have kindly invited us to take part as well.

Entry is 300 baht per person and includes wine, beer and food.

It says Friday, June 6. Friday is June 5. My guess is that it is Friday, June 5th rather than Saturday the 6th since it says the meetings are on Fridays.

Have corrected it to the 5th, the invite supplied to us had the wrong date.

Don't Forget the Thaivisa Annual Chiang Mai Party is on the 6th on Saturday night At Tuskers.

Excellent news - now I can go to both :)

Saw some pictures on citylife.com but don't know anyone who attended.

Anyone care to comment?

A few of us from Thaivisa went along, it was well attended and the hotel is a very nice location. They had around 40 people attend this event.

I went. Maybe there were about 40 people but I guess 10 were from the insurance brokers. I didn't find it particularly useful and whilst I applaud the initiative and hope it goes well I think it might just wither and die. However I had some nice red wine and some snacks served by some excellent waitresses so I'm not complaining

I agree the food and wine was very good - and unending :) - could only see about 5 from the insurance company.

A couple of business contacts very useful and I will go again. Just found the write-up in the CM Mail here
