In the tropics the sun rises and sets so quickly that we loose those wonderful moments of low

lighting that happen in the higher latitudes.

Today has been a wet day here in London, but at 7pm a shaft of sun appeared

catching the roses in the garden. I grabbed the camera and rushed out to take

two quick shots before the moment was gone.

Yes indeed, once the sun is overhead the light becomes flat and there's little contrast,

Patience and a little luck yields a great pic like yours,

would make a nice xmas card backround or other, kudos, . :)

Up here North of Chiangmai we have a considerably more temperate climate than down in bangkok.

Up around the hills the mornings are often softened by mist, and the sun gets quite high before it can burn its way through.
