John3312 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I have lived in Bangkok for about 9 months. I have now overstayed my Tourist-visa by about 10 days. I was planning to go back home to my country end of June. Is there any chance that they won't let me back in to Thailand if I do a visarun for a few days now? Would I be better off just staying in Bangkok and pay the fine when I leave end of June? Is there a limit on how many visaruns by plane you can do per 12month period? Thanks

Thanks They can only hit you for a maximum of THB 20,000 for the overstay, go to the airport ticket in hand, pay your overstay and go for a holiday somewhere....No limit on the number of "visaruns" by plane, but in the interim dont get caught by immigration/cops etc
ubonjoe Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 You can leave and come back without a problem. Leaving from the airport is the best option. You could go to immigration and get a 7 day extension (1900 baht) after paying the fine of 500 baht per day and showing a ticket out of the country within those 7 days. But if you just leave you can pay the fine at the airport. There is no limit on the trips you can make into the country by land or air. You get 30 days by air and 15 by land when you enter. Just remember every day you delay leaving costs 500 baht.
