Child Seats In Thailand?

Featured Replies

Well, there's going to be an addition to the household in December-ish and I'm thinking back to all the stuff I had to buy the last time this happened. Gulp.

But what about child seats over here? I can't remember ever having seen one in a Thai car although that doesn't exactly surprise me...

But are they actually available in Thailand?

Any help would really be appreciated! :)

Yep Thais don't use them. At least i havent seen any.

However department stores have good selection at least in Bangkok. Bought one from Central couple of months back. Chicco one so basicly should be EU and US standard. There is also some threads in family and children forum with more info. Found it helpful when looking myself.

If you living in Pattaya, go to Mike Shopping Mall, Beachroad, upstairs in the fourth floor, wide selection, from 3 to 8000 Baht

Hi

I bought our first baby seat from Robinsons in Rangsit, althought all Robinsons seems to have a fairly good variety from around 2000 - 8000 baht.

Ours was CE marked, so I thought it would be ok.

Many thanks for the feedback. :)

I live up near Khon Kaen so I'll try sourcing one locally but we have to go down to BKK in the next month or so and I imagine it'll be a whole lot easier there.

Cheers!
