A Great Restaurant

Featured Replies

Evening all

plug for a restauraunt I visited at the weekend - did a search but couldn't find

it already mentioned on here.

A truely 'fusion' dining experience to be had

at the MIX restaurant in Nimmenhamen soi 1.

An enormous menu of both Thai and European food

including BIG cocktails and european desserts

at very reasonable prices, in a very nice modern Thai setting.

Between the 8 of us we had:

French onion soup, pasta with pesto and prawns,

Pad thai, Tuna fillet, Ceasar salad, Steak, plus

a range of other Thai dishes, beer and cocktails,

and Hot chocolate bake for dessert. price for 8 around 2500 bht.

One of our party has been a chef at the Savoy in London (amongst others)

and he said the the food was five star - high praise indeed.

The only downside was that the food took a long time to come -

mainly because of the size of the menu.

But when it did arrive,

it was beautifully presented, excellently cooked and delicious!

(and the very reasonably priced cocktails filled the gap :) )

Nice to see a possitive review of a restaurant.I will check this one out.Sounds good to me.Thanks David.

Agreed.

Nice one Dave :)

Now surly its impossible for anyone to come on here and rip that apart.

Isn't it :D

Thank you very much indeed, Mr Oxon. I will give it a try. And fear not, I am sure that one of these days you will hit on the not-so-elusive formula for attracting outrageous comments to a food topic and having it be brought again and again to the top of the list . . .

Agreed.

Nice one Dave :)

Now surly its impossible for anyone to come on here and rip that apart.

No surliness here. :D

Thanks for the recommendation and looking forward to giving it a try.
