Multiple Emails For Forum Subscription

Featured Replies

I receive an email for each new topic in the 'General Topics' forum.

Occasionally I receive more than one email for the same topic, that has been going on for a long time but I have just ignored it.

Today I received 14 separate emails for one single topic.

The topic was "Malaysia Relaxes Foreign Investment Rules" in forum "General topics"

I'm assuming there's some kind of problem

Same here. I subscribe to the visa and computer forums and quite often receive multiple mails for the same topic. Usually 3-5 but the max so far was 9 mails.

Initially I thought it is the way people with slow connections post. They may think the post did not get through and hit the post button multiple times.

Any info or explanation from admin/mods would be welcome.

We are looking into the issue. Will revert back ASAP.

Any news on this issue?

I'm still receiving multiple e-mails for the same topic from time to time.

The latest one is:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=278454

for which I got two e-mails. Note that all e-mails show the same topic number (ID) which would probably not be the case if the poster hit the post button multiple times (wouldn't this generate a new topic number?).

yesterday two topics came in with triple e-mails.
