Can I Get A 3 Or 6 Month Thai Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

How many months will the Thai Embassy in KL, give for a tourist visa for Thailand ? I have heard there is a 6 month "double entry" tourist visa ?

If so (any info), can it be done in one day or overnight? set times to hand in ?

Hotel ideas? prices? etc etc, any info would be more than I know now.

Thanks.

A double entry tourist visa is the go. That gives 2 X 60 day stays. Each stay can be extended by another 30 days in Thailand. One border crossing is required. KL will require 2 days.

I recently did a single entry in KL.

It was a breeze except for the two hour wait to hand in the application.

Also, be sure to arrive in the morning; if I recall (not certain) I think they start taking applications at 10 AM.

If you arrive in the afternoon, you are out of luck for that day.

Based on my experience there, I think a double entry would be just as easy.

They did not ask for itinerary plans or copies of travel tickets.

There is even an automatic visa photo booth on premises.

I was going down to KL to visit a friend and he said that this hotel:

was in a good position for a visitor close to markets, china town etc. and internet price is v.reasonable.
