So, in the future I have plans to build a bamboo bungalow
Unless it has already been said, unless you treat the bamboo insets will eat the wood, first thing you will see will be heaps of dust everywhere. The Thai way of stopping insects eating at your house is to soak the bamboo poles in water for a couple of weeks, it breaks down the cellulose in the wood and the insets will not eat the wood. Old Thai saying, soaking it makes the wood smell and insect will not invade you, basically that is BS . If you, want to go ahead with this project why not buy a readymade house, this one's made of Teak, not cheap less expensive ones around, just move it to your site, you will need to build a bathroom, of sorts. -
