Phuket Airport Taxi

Featured Replies

I've never been to Phuket by plane (only by car) so have no idea if there are Meter taxi at the airport and how much would it cost from there to Kata beach?

The private taxis and hotel taxis quote it at 800 THB one way 3 people. Will it be cheaper with a meter taxi or are these fix prices?

Thanks for any info.

meter taxi hut ,turn right at exit of airport about 50 meters, taxi to patong about 450 baht.

private limo about 600 to 800 baht, seat on minibus around 150 baht per person.

Don't ride in the gray "limousines," unless you take pleasure in watchingmotorbikes get forced off the road, and have a death wish. They are insane drivers. Metered taxi's aren't nearly as bad, they aren't paid by the mach. Wear kevlar underwear though, the limousine drivers have been known to shoot and kill metered taxi drivers. They don't want them at the airport. (How is a Toyota Camry or Soluna be called a "limousine" anyway?)

The Limousine Services are the first desks you come to after getting your luggage. For some years they have charged 550 Baht to Patong for up to 3 passengers. My friend just came from the airport a couple of days ago and it has gone up to 650 Baht.

If your driver is going to fast just ask him to please slow down. If that doesn't work offer him a tip and he will surely slow down.

should be around 400/500bath to Kata with taxi meter..

meter is located outside the big entre to the right!

checkout taximeter-phuket dot com then push - taxi meter english -

Thanks to all of you.

have opted for a car rental for 2 days... comes out at 950/day a toyota Vigo so I guess about 2,500 for 2 days including gaz. Cheaper or similar then taking a cab and renting 2 bikes for 2 days (daughter, wife+myself) and also less risky.

Thanks again
