Bit of club history from the Bangkok Post -

Nicknamed 'Bangkok Angel,' Bangkok United were jointly founded by Bangkok University and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). Formerly Bangkok University, Bangkok United needed a new organisation and new name to be in line with the Football Association of Thailand's (FAT) new regulations that teams in the country's top flight must be registered as limited companies. Former Bangkok governor Apirak Kosayodhin, who is now Bangkok United chairman, said the club aimed to win the Thai Premier League in three years.''Bangkok United are ready for the new season. We aim to finish in the top five in the coming season and win the league in three years,'' Apirak said.

in case anyone is interested their big home match is on this Sunday v Chonburi FC More info on the league is at www.thaileaguefootball.com

From the BU website - this is the deal

690 baht for shirt (adidas), season ticket, membership card, player cards, club magazine - (or 50 baht for a ticket to a game.)

no mate it's the Thai Premier League - The AFC website had an article about last weekends matches, it was a recort crowd of 13000 at Muang Thong, the last record crowd stood for about a month, this one should be broken in a couple of weeks I reckon - http://www.the-afc.com/en/member-associati...tendance-record

Did anyone make it out to Bangkok United last weekend?
