Are there any restrictions on a Thai owning property in the UK?

Any one have first hand experience?

Most of the Thais that i know who own property in the UK are females, There husbands Have gone to Thailand for a Holiday , Got Drunk and fallen out of high rise Hotels.

Restrictions on foreign ownership exist mainly in emerging property markets. Most Western European countries, including the U.K., France and Italy, don't restrict foreign nationals from owning real estate. I know Thai's who own hotels and office buildings in the UK.

I know of a Thai who used to own a football team!!!!
