Hi,

Do Thai citizens need any sort of visa for transit via Dubai? We are arriving from Gatwick, and will departing a few hours later to Bangkok.

A Thai needs a visa before entry. Check with Thai Inter as to whether the Thai can remain airside and not enter the country.

You will either receive your onward boarding pass at Gatwick already, or have to visit a transfer counter inside the Dubai terminal.

With the onward boarding pass onhand you can pass through security (transit) and enter the departure hall without passing through immigration. Here you will find all the duty free shops and the airline lounges, if you have access. (Business-class or TG-card etc., or buy the entry). Great food buffets, computer access. a.s.o.
