Hello, im new to to this

my boy friend is coming over to phuket, he is in the media, not Thailand

he is hoping to write some stories, about local events,eg vegitarian festival and the Regatta

plus other stuff, will he need a work permit, i worry there are some troubles ahead

i dont think he will write anything to be published here any advice helpful

Work requires a work permit, it is that simple. There is a visa category and extension of stay category especialy for mebers of the media. But I can't tell you much about that one.

Media visa and it IS possible to gain an associated WP from it without a local employer IIRC. I seem to remember a female poster on here who went through a long struggle and got one.

The visa forum is the place to ask this, but I suspect it wont be simple.
