Rain

Arrived home around 5PM in the middle of the storm. Was being blown all over the road on my Wave going through Wing 41. The winds completely shredded a brand new poncho- the entire back side looked like it had been dipped in a brush cutter when I got home. :)

My 11th floor apt was buttoned up tight when I left in the morning.

Winds were so strong that with the very heavy rain, water was blown in past all the west-facing windows. It was pouring down the walls under the windows when I walked in. Had a large pool of water about an inch thick in a corner where computer desk is. Had a power strip, a couple of power supplies, various cords sitting in this water. Ouch. Zap.

Took 2 hours with a mop to clean up; kitchen sink area cabinetry still flooded underneath, have a fan on that still...

But very happy to have the rain!

Well, me too! Yesterdays thunderous storm was so needed. Opened up all the windows and enjoyed the sound of heavy rain. Love the Ions after a storm. Got my fingers crossed for a repeat occurrence!

Little bit less would be nice.. Horizontal rain yesterday, and found out that some of my windows aren't entirely water-tight. :)

any would be nice, we missed out again yesterday :D
