Has anyone had any experience with real estate in the 700 Year Stadium area? I have heard that there are rentals in the area but at first look it seems like most of it is government buildings. Appreciate any insights on this area or anything nearby. Thanks.

Plenty of rentals in the area, and all along both sides of the klong. Not the cheapest area in town, but I have noticed more than average rental signs lately. Best to take a drive round the roads there and look for the signs.

I believe the houses adjacent to the stadium were built as accommodation for the athletes competing in the 1996 (Chiang Mai's 700th anniversary) Asian Games. They were rented to government employees after the games.
