Wining Judgement For Dept Is Only Half The Battle.

Featured Replies

I have won a judgement in the court for moneys owing. However as I understand it I will now need to get the money from the person who is living in Bangkok. I think I will need a collection agency/lawyer to recover this for me. Any advice or recommendations most welcome. :)

I am going to take a guess that you already have a copy of this person's tabien ban / ID card so you know where he comes from.

Go to the land office in the tabien ban area and see if he has land there. After showing the judgement, they will comply fully. Also, check at the Motor Vehicle department. Showing the judgement, they will be happy to help.

The police also have the ability to look through the national database for motor vehicles. A small tip will go a long way.

The land offices are not on a national database, sadly.
