Electric Bike In Thailand

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the laws here are in relation to an electric, battery powered bike....ie a pedal bike with assisted motor

I know in Vietnam if they are capable of over 35 kl/hr then helmets, licence etc applies but I cant find any info about Thailand.

The bikes with Lithium battery seem attractive and are available here

Why not ask the company selling the bikes!

Why not ask the company selling the bikes!

well...this is Thailand :) and the sellers are not always truthful are they?. Ive looked on the web but could not find any relevent info

i wouldn't even worry about legal hassles riding them, it's such an unknown area in thailand that cops wouldn't know what to do about them if they ran into one.
