Pattaya Tefl Job Teaching English. Info/contacts For Pattaya City Needed (i Got Degree, Tefl, Permanent Living Pattaya, Good Cv)

Featured Replies

Hi,

Perhaps someone can give me some specifice info, advice or contacts to follow up with,

I am looking for an English Teacher Job in Pattaya City area.

I have University Degree, Higher Dip Post Grad, TEFL Cert which I did earlier this year in Pattaya,

I living full time in Pattaya 3 years now, & I am living here full time. This year I need to get a Teaching Job

in Pattaya City. Yes, I am aware the money is not the best for ESL Teachers within Pattaya etc.

For various reasons, I must be close to the City, so going up to Chonburi, or too far outside Pattaya is not

an option, as I am on motorbike only.

Now is the time I need to find a Teaching Job within Pattaya City or up to 6-7 KM outside the city, I notice

schools 20 mins or so out, in country areas, which is doable on motorbike.

I have been scanning the Newspapers, & the Web & while I see jobs in places (i.e. Chonburi) which too far re my situation.

I have hardly seen any English Teaching Jobs adverstied anywhere for the Pattaya City, Greater Pattaya area.

I did see on the forum a mention of "English Avenue" & I am guessing from the post I saw English Avenue

must have the "contract" to put teachers into Schools etc. (like a temp staff agency?)

Where exactly on 3rd Road is English Avenue located?

Is English Avenue beside any "landmarks" that I can find it easily? Or has anyone address, web site etc?

Is there any other ways or suggestions to finding a Job for upcoming term in Pattaya?

I got all the qualifications as specified legally for Englishers in Thailand to have, I just need to get a Job now

and whilst I did my TEFL early this year, I was not planning on finding a position until now.

The Job Market in Pattaya seems to be invisible, a conspicious absence of Pattaya Job Ads.

Yeah... I seen decent Jobs on Offer with schools ^ places like ECC in Chonburi or now beyond Sathahip but

they are just that bit too far for me, & re other commitments I need to my in the city or not too far from it.

(I did seem to like, way out 5Km North/NE direction of Soi Country Club, saw several schools out there, &

I live in NE Pattaya, & wonder not too far out side pattaya, but not too obvious re location, how one would

find possible positons there?

I am open to any suggestions please & very greateful if anyone can give me the exact location of English Avenue?

(or any other decent reputation hiring sources or contacts.)

15 years sales & team management did a lot of corporate training in EU,

I do have substitute teaching experience from back home & still got reference letter.

I recently completed successfully TEFL Cert with recognized by Thai Ministry of Education (& good rep) TEFL teacher training course in Pattaya.

As I mentioned I am permanent in Pattaya, late 30s, & settled (not into the night scene), & degrees decent, TEFL decent, reference to sub teaching work done in the past, & instructional experience from corporate sector & coaching too.

Appreciate v much any info, as I am keen to start Job search, this week.

By the way, since I not really used them, I noticed someone posted there was work up in Lamchebang, etc.

Is there any reliable bus or private mini bus services that run on time, to these places mentioned in other posts?

Thank You Kindly in advance for any help or info, either post it or PM me.

Where did you do your TEFL course? I thought they "guaranteed" you a job. Perhaps not in Pattaya. Last I read, about a year ago, all the Pattaya government schools used an agency and paid teachers hourly. I don't know, not my thing or city, but I'd suggest you find out who this agency is and give them a call. Whichever TEFL outfit you used certainly has this information. Good luck.

There is another thread running in this forum on the same topic. I suggest you take a look at this:

I will leave this thread open for a while, but if there are no further responses it will be closed and people looking at employment in Pattaya can comment in one forum.

Best of luck.

Why does going an hour or so up the road on a m/c fill you with dread.

I've been teaching all over the Eastern Seaboard from Sattahip to Amata Nakorn for years travelling everywhere by motorcycle.
