Google Earth

Not meant as a quiz question, though possibly could be!

When was the satellite picture of Chiang Mai on Google Earth taken?

I notice things like the site of Le Meridian being a green filled hole in the ground, so I am assuming pre 2005, but can anyone be more accurate?

Also anyone know of a more up to date picture going as far out as the ring roads?

Thanks

Iain

Turn on all the "layers" in Google Maps if you are using 2009 version. All the grid info is there.

Pics look to be any where from 2002-2005 just on quick glance.

"Imagery Date: May 23, 2003". If you pass your mouse over the images it will usually show the date in the bottom left corner of window (depending on zoom level).

Correct on the above info. A friend of mine shows his neighbors house being built next to his lot (empty) he built his house mid 2005, photos 2004. To my knowledge no new updates.

The foundations of my house were completed in mid 2004.

The latest Google Earth image of my house shows that stage of completion so I can pretty accurately date the last Google Earth image update of CM at mid 2004.
