Which Antivirus Is Best At Removing Malware?

Featured Replies

According to AV-Comparatives.org’s recently released malware removal test evaluating the effectiveness of sixteen antivirus solutions, only a few were able to meet their criteria of not only removing the FakeAV, Vundo, Rustock and ZBot(Zeus) samples they were tested against, but also getting rid of the potentially dangerous “leftovers” from the infection.

I'm assuming you mean this operating system does not get targeted by viruses ( I know nothing about computers ) Can this OS be installed on a laptop which is also running windows xp?

lol dave_boo :) . On topic I heard Windows Security Essentials scored higher than paid anti-virus softwares. Don't waste your money buying Anti-virus software for your home pc . Install the free anti-virus from Microsoft or other good free anti-virus software .

Tywais, sorry for going off topic; but you are one of the cool moderators so I assume at least I got a chuckle out of you.

Judas, check your pms, I sent you one out of deference to thread-jacking.

I installed that and got rid of all the other stuff except Comodo firewall.

The only problem I have with it is the CPU hogging of MsMpEng.exe which can bring my 'puter to its knees.

Yes, agree Windows Security Essentials seems to do a good job, & the price is right... especially after just forking out for W 7!

BUT do not try to use if you are not using Genuine Windows... first check it does is for that.... :)
