Bt3 bn budget for Phuket

BANGKOK: The government has allocated a budget of Bt3 billion under the Thai Khemkhaeng stimulus package for construction of the national exhibition and convention project in Phuket, Deputy Prime Minister Korbsak Sabhavasu said yesterday.

He was speaking after meeting with civil officials and other participants in Phuket.

The exhibition and convention centre will be the same kind as the National Queen Sirikit Convention Centre in Bangkok. It has been designed to accommodate 4,000 people and is expected to take three years to build.
