Heading To Cambodia

Featured Replies

I was looking back on previous threads but can't find anything very current. I am headed to the capital, Phnom Penh, for a couple of days. I have already made my flight and booking. I wondering if anyone has any suggestions about things to do. Bars, hangouts etc. Also, places to avoid.

thanks.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

It's not hard to find all the bars and fun places if you stay near the river, many of the female bar staff are very friendly but not as wordly as their Thai counterparts but they are very nice. You will have fun.

Google Cambodia Out for an update site on what's happening. It's published by Jim of @Richards Bar...I found it very helpful when I went to Siem Reap during October.

I'm not going to get to have as much fun as I had planned. The boy friend decided to come along! So, I guess I'll get to see a lot of things and have a more relaxing time.

But we will go out, so advice is appreciated.

There is a floating bar called Pontoon directly across from the Night Market. Thursday is gay night but we also went on a weekend and found a mixed crowd there. We had fun there and will go back next month.

I found the Bluechilli bar was worth a visit. :)

The Salt Lounge is another gay bar worth a visit. One guy could hardly keep his hands off me, whilst sat OUTSIDE the bar (there were a few token plants partially surrounding the outside area). I still regret turning him down to go after another round with the guy from the Blue Chilli....

Blue Chilli bar is certainly worth a visit as is Salt Lounge. Pontoon can be a bit hit and miss, but it has a mixed crowd and can be fun.

Manor House is a gay guest house which is very good, but quite expensive.

Pontoon has been closed since the water fesitval last Nov,

I lived in Cambodia for most of 2008 and part of 2009 and loved it!!!
