3 Month Visit To Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi all, just looking for some advice,

I'm potentially (fingers crossed) coming to Thailand for 3 months - start/mid Feb - May and looking to find the best visa option.

I'm a UK national with a Thai spouse and looking to visit family and friends.

I'm not of retirement age and I'm not looking to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Get a Tourist visa 60-30 or beter yet since your married to a Thai ge an O multi good for a year. Do this at Hull.

Gotlost is right, but just to clarify, you don't need to go to Hull, you apply via post, and the visa is normally back with you within 48hours. I would say for a 3 month visit you would be better off with a tourist visa as it's less paper work to send. (proof of marriage etc) and will work out cheaper. Google 'thai embassy Hull' and your good to go.

If just three months a single entry non immigrant visa based on your marriage should be obtainable at any Thai Consulate and will provide 90 days on entry with no need to visit immigration to extend your stay.

Thanks to all for taking the time to reply.

I'll check out the links.

Lopburi, if I were to stay just over 90 days, would this still be the best option, getting an extension whilst I'm in Thailand, or going for one of the other options.

Hull Honorary Consulate

If just 90 days then would agree that obtaining single entry Non-O visa is best. Cost is I believe £45 v time to visit immigration to obtain extension (if on tourist visa) plus 1,900 baht extension fee. So works out about the same.

Thanks,

I've had a look at the Consulate website and it looks pretty clear. I'll decide which option to go for when I've finalised the plans.

Thanks again.

You can not extend a 90 day stay more than 7 days.
