Koh Chang's weather bears some similarity to Trat's regarding the wet and dry seasons.

But KC has it's own micro-climate. The mountains are quite high (700mtrs+) and act as a huge 'sail' that catches whatever weather is prevalent more so than mainland Trat.

For instance, my rain gauge records ~30% more annual rainfall--consistently, year after year...

It's too bad the Thai Met Dept hasn't turned on their Sattahip radar since Sept 27th. That was a useful tool in the rainy season.
