I haven't had much to talk about after the Tiges lost to Ozzy and Burnsies teams (Demons and Eagles) in the last 2 weeks.

Melbourne took the Tigers apart and I thought the same was going to happen on Saturday with the Eagles but the Tigers showed some fight and only lost by 2 points after being down be 5 or 6 goals twice during the match.

Maybe the Tigers can take the Roos this weekend. Entrench us in the 8 so we can look forward to some finals action for once.

West Coast...2 point winners over Richmond.....unstoppable  :o  :D  :D

Burnsie, Dont count the chickens before theyve hatched mate.

The Weagles were very lucky to get across the line against the tiges.

This game and the one against the collywobles showed that the weagles are a little suspect under real pressure.

This season is still very open .

Macca, I thought your boys might have folded after losing their best player for the season but they showed class the way they came back, great showing.

Gunna be a hard one when Dees meet Eagles Sat week. Eagles have a home game v Dons on the fri then 8 day break,Dees have Pies on the Monday and have to back up to the Eagles on the Sat, tough ask,but it will see how they are travelling .

Only need 2 wins to guarantee a finals spot......should be ok.....Melbourne in Melbourne could be a problem though :o

Yes not much doubt that the Eagles will finish in the top 4.

The Eagles have got Essendon on friday night and the Dees play the Collywobles on monday. So the extra 3 days rest will be a big help. The Dees have got plenty of goalkickers but possibly lack a bit in the onballer area. I think Judd and Cousins will have a field day.

What sort of a joke is the tribunal this season??

Shattock gets 4 reduced to 3, appeals and pleads guilty and finishes with 2..Hunt offered 2 appeals and pleads guilty to striking and gets off. Stenglein offered 2 appeals and gets 1.Wanganeen gets a caution for tripping by foot.. Bet Jonathon Brown Wishes he,d kept his mitts to himself till this season,he,d probably have got 2 or 4 based on what is being dished out. :o

expect some changes next year, like back to when the tribunal just said......."we find you guilty...3 weeks"

Even though born and bred in ole Hobart town, been a Weagles supporter since 87 ,as a kid. Mum's family are all sandgropers from Geralton, granny reckons she was the midwife at Chris Mainwaring's birth :o

Anyways, have not much idea of the exact form of the Eagles from over here, don't have satellite, only rely on stats from the net. I do think they will finish top of the ladder, winning every home game. That gives them two home finals ..then a grand final at the MCG . Anything can happen on the day :D

another good win, but it was evident that the awful weather is an area that bothers the Eagles....I suspect that a better side in the wet would have done the Eagles.

Yep Burnsy another win but not very impressive in the conditions, with Fletcher not starting and only one bench player after 1/4 time plus Johnson playing on with a fractured cheek bone the Eags were rather lucky to get away with it, a few goals from lucky frees didnt hurt the cause. But 11 and 1 is looking good for September

Your sympathy is overwhelming Burnsy :D

Yeah I know....but without Neitz, the Demons will be a weaker side....it is a shame tho as to play a strong Melbourne line up would have been a good test for a possible GF game

Great game Burnsy, Eagles to good on the day, undoubtably the form teams of the comp so I expect they will meet again come finals, dont feel so bad about losing a great game like that and played in good spirit as well. congrats eagles

a good game Ozzy...but not a great game....it was the type of of game you expect from teams with a similar attacking and defensive style....hard fought and hard won....could have gone either way on the day.

To the Eagles it meant a great deal though as it was another rare win at the MCG.

but the Dees did play well and with a full team it would have been a possibly great game....well done to the Dees for taking the game upto the Eagles.

Perhaps we can teach the Brits some sporting ettiquette, on second thoughts some things are better left in the to hard basket. :o

Perhaps they could learn from us Ozzy....once they get the fans to stop beating crap out of each other all for the sake of a game....nah it will never happen :D

According to Micky......the umps did all they could but the timekeepers were both Sydney supporters.....although the timekeepers should stop the clock when the ump blows time off.....there wouldnt have been enough time for the wobblies to kick a goal....good to see he did admit to telling his players to fake hammies to waste time at the end of a close game.... :o:D

Regardless of the timekeepers' persuasions, doubt the 14 secs lost would've made much of a difference :D:o

Bloody Collywobbles....as inconsistant at winning as they are consistant at losing...just cant trust them can ya ????

Judging by the iffy umpiring seen at the Magpies last two games ,I,m wondering if there isnt a conspiracy to get the woods into the final 8 . :o

And with Round 19 coming up this weekend and the Grand Final rapidly approaching, how's this for a true footy fan? Whaddaya reckon... Weagles, Saints or Crows supporter?

A man had great tickets for the Grand Final.

As he sits down, another man comes down and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him. "No", he says. "The seat is empty"

"This is incredible!" said the man. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Grand Final, the biggest sporting event in Victoria, and not use it?"

He says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. My wife was supposed to come with me, but she passed away. This is the first Grand Final we haven't been to together since we got married."

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else, a friend or relative, or even a neighbour to Take the seat?"

The man shakes his head. "No. They're all at the funeral."
