Blog Problem

Recommended Posts

I've just started a blog here, and linked photographs from my gallery (also started today).

But I think I've done something wrong... :o

The pictures are there (as thumbnails) but do not expand or open in a new window when clicked on.

Can anyone advise me as to what I've done wrong?

OK all, thanks for all the comments guys, but I'm still in the same situation.

For info, the code behind the images on the post is as follows:

(I've inserted spaces between the characters in the img command so the full text can be read)

Suggestions anyone?

Oh, and I've PM'd Darky thanks so hopefully he's online soon.

I'm online in an hour need to go to work first. i'll explain more detailed later.

First clue is you need to include the IMG tags (thumbnail) in between the URL tags from the link you want clicked

PS: i've done your first picture , have a look at the code

Thanks Darky,

I had a look at the code, copied and pasted to the other image references, and previewed the post, only to see that it was totally fcuked up!!! :D

I've been playing with it for about an hour now... :o

If you have time later, can you please have another look and point out where I'm going wrong?

Cheers,

Much appreciated.

:D

Ok,

Here we go

first you need two browser windows open , one with your blog and one with your gallery.

i'll use ( instead of [ to show you the code

Edit your blog so your into the editor. You've linked the small thumbnail images in your post. Now open the Large real image that you want to link in your gallery.

Right click on the large image , click properties and copy everything that's under "address: "

In your editor go stand above your thumbnail image (same as the large one) and use the http:/ button, paste in your code from the image, click ok. your code should look like this " (=[ ":

(url=http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/uploads/1114645471/gallery_15398_153_79770.jpg)(/url)

(img)Http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/uploads/1114645471/tn_gallery_15398_153_79770.jpg(/img)

Pegged land showing property boundary and house column locations

Now move the (/url) to the bottom after "column locations"

it should look like this now

(url=http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/uploads/1114645471/gallery_15398_153_79770.jpg)

(img)Http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/uploads/1114645471/tn_gallery_15398_153_79770.jpg(/img)

Pegged land showing property boundary and house column locations (/url)

The URL tag needs to emcompass the IMG tags, then both your text and your pic are a link to the larger pic's location.

When in reality you use [ instead of ( it should look like this now.

tn_gallery_15398_153_79770.jpg Pegged land showing property boundary and house column locations

Do the same for the other pics
