Bus To Uthai Thani From Bangkok

Featured Replies

Is there a direct bus from Morchit to Uthai thani or do you have to transfer some were, and can you get a bus in Uthai Thani to Chiang Mai. Thanks

There are two very good bus companies that use spacious double-deck buses with 2 & 1 seating.

the fare is about B450.

One is CHAN TOUR and the other is AIR UDON.

Both have ticket windows on the third level of Mor Chit Northeastern Bus Terminal.

It is not easy to find them and requires a bit of perseverance and cussedness. All the "INFORMATION" booths are corrupt and will try to steer you to a tout or will quote you B700++ for a "VIP Bus" Even the security guards at the stairway going to the third floor will ask you where you are going and try to hook you up with a Tout. Shake them off and keep your eyes open.

Most of the signage is in Thai but you might see some in English. Look for a photo of a double deck bus at the ticket window and if you think you have found one of them, ask to see something with CHAN TOUR or AIR UDON printed on it.

It really helps to have someone who reads Thai along but it can be done alone if you hang tough.

These buses run express and often take less than 8 hours. The last one I took in October didn't stop anywhere for food so be sure to bring some snacks and beverages along.

DUUUHHHH...After all that typing I just realized that the OP asked for buses to UTHAI THANI and not UDON THANI!!!

Tried to delete post but couldn't find a "delete"option in "Edit"
