Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi there,

After spending over 2 years in Thailand on Non-B visas I have lost touch with the tourist visa process for entering Thailand. I am heading back to Thailand from the UK in April for a stay of 31 days, and then again at the end of May for 8days.

How many days is the visa on arrival - 30 or 60? will I be able to get a visa on arrival 2 months in a row? Or should I just apply for a double entry tourist visa from hull?

thanks

On arrival by air you will get a 30 visa exempt entry. It is not a visa. If you entered by air again in May, you'd get 30 days again.

The problem you might have is that without a visa, the airline might not let you board to come here unless you have an air ticket out of Thailand within the 30 days.

A single entry tourist visa would appear to work for you. It will be used the first entry. The second entry will be a visa exempt entry, either 30 days if by air or 15 days if by land.

As said, the airline may decline you boarding without a visa or an air ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival. Obtain single entry tourist visa for first trip. They are currently free. Hull levies a small admin charge but believe Liverpool does not.
