Romantic Thai Restaurants In Chiang Mai & Bangkok

Featured Replies

I´m doing a trip to Chiang Mai and then to Bangkok with my thai girlfriend, i´m looking to make a couple of nice surprises to her.

I´m looking to have a couple of nice and romantic dinners, price is not really an issue.

In Bangkok i thought about Sirocco but maybe the food is too sophisticated for her taste, she prefers thai, Japanese & and she like Mediterranean food, but not really fusion food. Celadon or maybe a river cruise but i´m not sure how good is the food & maybe is too much "touristic".

In Chiang Mai, i´m quite lost, but i´ve seen Mi Casa, which i thought it might be nice

So if somebody could give me some suggestions to here to have a nice romantic dinner in CM & BKK would be appreciated.

thanks

I would say that a river restaurant is your best bet. Aquatini on Phra Athit is really nice, but has a lot of foreigners. To-Sit Pier is also classy, but almost totally Thai. If you want really Hi-So, you'll have to go to a hotel restaurant like the Oriental. I think the other two are better because they are still upscale, without being pretentious.

To see the locations for these, check out this post. It also has some other restaurant ideas.
