32 health volunteers rushed to hospital in Chiang Mai for foods poisoning

CHIANG MAI: -- Thirty-two health volunteers from Chanthaburi were rushed to a hospital in this northern city Sunday morning because of foods poisoning.

They were transported to the McCormick Hospital in Muang district at 8 am.

Half of them were discharged after doctors prescribed drug for them. The rest were admitted for intravenous feeding.

The volunteers repeatedly vomited and had diarrhea throughout Saturday night, their friends said.

They were parts of an entourage of 200 health volunteers from Chanthaburi on a field trip to northern provinces.
