Where To Buy Wine In Kalasin?

Featured Replies

I know Plaza has a few brands but does anyone know of any other shop that has a better supply?

Do you have a Tesco or a Macro close by?

No

However, you could take a trip to Big C in Sarakham, I think I remember seeing a decent selection there.

totster :)

Have you got any relatives regularly going over to Savannakhet? I get all my wine (French Cabernet/Merlot) from Laos at half the price you pay here. Every time someones going over to Laos- usually to SavanVegas!! - they ask me if I want 'wi' ....theres a few baht in it for them as well, worth the fee. Also they do five litre box wines which my wife brought back last time although she was scolded by customs for having over the limit ..she still got through pleading ignorance and won't do it again etc.. :)

Not too many options I think. Beyond Big C in Kamrieng on the Kalasin-side of Sarakham, there is a medium-sized Tesco in the centre (Sermthai building). Then the next options are probably Makro in Roi Et or KK.

The wine selection at Makro Roi Et is someone limited. 8-10 varieties of bottled wine (including several larger jug sized bottles), 2-3 varieties of boxed wine and 1 sparkling wine.

There is a small wine/whiskey shop in the basement of the Roi Et Plaza shopping complex which has a wider selection (probably at least 50 varieties to choose from).
