Too Young For Retirement Visa

Recommended Posts

After much research and financial management I've decided on relocating to Honolulu from NJ and to use HI as my US base.I am several years too young for a retirement visa and have decided not to do business or acquire condos in Thailand yet. I will have a $20,000 monthly cash flow from my properties and investments in the states so income and work are not a problem.

Which visa and strategy should I be interested in that is as long and convenient as a 1 year multiple entry B visa?Would I have to buy a business or condo to qualify for one or is there another type visa for someone in my situation?

You do not qualify for a B type visa of any kind so a non immigrant O visa from a friendly consulate would be your best bet if you can not make any investment. If you can spare 3 million baht the below would be an option.

Application for extension of stay of persons investing a minimum of 3 million Baht in the Kingdom

Required Documents

Evidence of transfer of at least 3 million Baht from abroad into Thailand. The applicant must be either the sender abroad or the recipient in Thailand of the investment.

Evidence of investing the transferred money after the transfer is completed in one or several of the following cases:

Deposit the money in a fixed account of a state bank (Krung Thai Bank, Government Savings Bank, Bank for Agriculture and Cooperative, Ratanasin Bank, Srinakhorn Bank, Nakhornluang Thai Bank, Housing Bank)

Buy bonds issued by a state agency or government enterprise. The bonds must be purchased directly from a state agency or government enterprise or an authorised dealer.

Buy an apartment or condominium at the price set and registered by the Land Department.

Any kind of investment deemed beneficial to the country by the Immigration Bureau.

Conditions for permission

The foreign national must permanently possess the investment. If he wishes to change the kind of investment, he first has to ask for permission to change the kind of investment and may tghen change to a new permanent kind of investment.

I hope you understand the difference between "Cash Flow", "Income" and "Profit" !

After all your "Research and Financial Management" of course I am sure you do.

Thanks for the suggestions and am looking into the investment O visa though parking $75,000 making almost no interest goes against my principles.I'll have the option of getting my visas in NYC or HNL.

Also plan on finding many pretty Thai girls though marriage also goes against my principles.Once bitten twice shy.Besides, every 90 days I will be in Paris or Rome or Rio or some other city finding pretty local girls.Seems like a fun way to do the mandatory 90 day visa runs.

I am retired at the age of 27 and i can not get a O visa even if i can show pappers that i am retired. IF you have loads of cash and want to buy apartment get insuarance the best visa is the workpermit visa. Open a thai comany hire your self and pay tax and get the 1 year visa.

The other way get a wife stay for 3 years and after that get a 3 years visa

good luck!
