On Friday 19th March the Blues Factory will be celebrating its 9th year anniversary so we will be holding a bit of a party in the club!

There will of course be 2 live bands featuring - "The Blues Machine" featuring Snowman and Mary and "The Rock Machine" featuring Pattaya's hottest new guitarist "Nueng" and of course our resident superstar The “Guitar King” of Thailand Lam Morrison.

I am also pleased to have a selection of guest artists who will be joining the bands on stage including some famous well known Thai musicians and a few local faces who in their own right are all recording artists and professional musicians.

Together with lucky number draws with some great prizes and a free buffet we hope to have a great night and we look forward to seeing you, last but not least I'd like to thank all who have helped us to provide great quality live music over the past 9 years.

Was there a few weeks ago.

Been there before as well.

Not impressed anymore!

Lam Morrison being promoted on the poster outside, and coming on the stage 25-30 minutes late, as usual.

Sad to see such a brilliant musician acting this arrogant.

He played a few songs only, showing (guitar masturbate) off to his "followers" how good a show man he is.

Almost embarresing to see a grown up man acting like this on the stage.

A bit more humble approach would get him much more respect and admiration.

After all, the need for admiration is what seems to drive him.

Firstly the poster was advertising the silverlake concert and not the blues factory so it has nothing to do with the bar and Lam being late on stage would depend on what night it was as he may have already been up and performed but took a short break when you arrived. I also don't think you know anything about the man from what you have wrote.

Secondly this topic is about my bars 9 year anniversary so if you want to have a pop at Lam or a complaint about the bar please start another topic instead of messing this topic up! Thats why I posted it under my sponsership name.

thank you.

I was there, and have been there several times.

As also mentioned, he is indeed a brilliant musician.

Pretty clear to me that some here belong to the "followers" of the named musician.

So I guess it is just expected that you will not tolerate someone talking less favourable about your local hero.

Nothing to do with being a follower I was asking you to please not mess my topic up as it is an advert for the bars anniversary, if you have comments about Lam you could have made them elsewhere, as a sponsor I am allowed to advertise the bar but its not good when someone reads my ad and straight away see's negative comments.

PS I woudn't call him a local hero, he's heard of outside Pattaya also, even in BKK which is where he will be playing tonight.

Ok, point taken.

Not my intention to high jack the thread.

Sorry about that.

I have been to your bar several times, and admit I have enjoyed it.

Guess I was a bit put off regarding the other issue.

Anyhow,

For the members that has not been there yet, it is absolutely worth a visit.

No doubt about that.

Due to the Pattaya Music Festival starting on the 19th I've delayed the party a week so it will now be held on the Friday 26th March instead of the 19th as previously advertised..

Hope to see you there.

DT.
