Is It Safe To Visit Bangkok During March 2010?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I would be visiting Bangkok on the 31st March 2010. With all the news of the rally and rioting that will be held during the mid of March. Is it still safe to visit bangkok for my holiday trip?

Secondly, any new places of food to introduce? Been quite sometime since i last seen JF introduce new places for food. Thanks all =D

I would say yes. but having said that you still need to keep your head screwed on and and be careful. as this is the same no matter where you go in this world.

No, not safe.

At any time a large number of old ladies with handclappers could gather and chow down on very spicey som tum. Take great care.

NEP is Nana Entertainment Plaza. Booze and loose women, no place for nice young tourists.

Avoid AEP?? Where is AEP??

Who said anything about AEP?

Another Erroneous Posting. :)

What's that in the OP about rioting in mid-March! All that is being planned is a protest for March 14. One of the leaders of the red-shirts has just said that it won't be as large as previously thought. I've been living in Bangkok all through all the protests and have only ever been effected by the odd road excursion. You'll be perfectly safe, no foreign tourists has ever been harmed by protests.
