Russian Tourist assaulted and robbed on Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA:--Just after 3.30 on Friday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Grisagorn from Pattaya Police Station was called to Pattaya Beach in front of Soi 11 to assist a Russian Tourist who had been attacked by three Thai men, one of them armed with a long knife.

But you also wouldn't be pissed out of your mind and barging into people on the sidewalk before one of them takes offence. I see it happen every time I'm out late at night. It's an increasing problem here, people not understanding the volatile and cowardly nature of yer street (or Beach Road) Thai.

Even tonight at 10pm, showing the splendours of Walking Street to someone who has never been here before, the very first thing we saw was an Indian guy OTT abuse a persistent hawker (of "ping pong show"), before the hawker grabbed him, ripped his shirt and landed a couple of blows to his head.

I explained "It's like the Wild West, but with no sherriff".

Yes id agree the few diamonds in the rough are long gone by then, thing is you couldnt get an easier place to police yet they dont put any real effort into it.
