Thanks insight, nice to see your still around as well. Yeah Noi was well chuffed that she passed the test first time.

I read recently, forget if it was Ozzy or Brit immigration test, that they (the migrants) have to learn how to stand in a queue.

Hi Daleyboy,

Good to see your still kicking.

I check in here every now and then but I have been in Thailand for awhile so when I'm there I never have time.

Now back in the states, I have more time.

Take care of those ribs.

Or I can give you a good BBQ sauce recipe.

Hello mate.

Nice to see your still around as well. Not got anything better to do, other than keep an eye on these reprobates? :D

The family is very good mate. Joe will be 4 in a couple of months, And me and Noi will be celebrating 9 years of marriage this year. Noi is now a British citizen, and that wasnt cheap, best part of £1000 to apply.

Cost money??

My Polish wife (ex-) was citizenised in mid-nineties (calendar date, not her age) and as far as I know it didn't cost more than a couple of hours of a lawyer's time. So nearer to a hundred than a thou.

To apply for British citizenship costs £10 for the life in the UK book £40 to do the life in the UK test, then you have to pay £720 for the home office to do the paperwork then you have to pay £50 to the local registrar to check said paperwork before it goes to the home office, this is optional but if the paperwork is wrong in any way then it is refused. Then when it is all done you then have to pay best part of £100 for a British passport. Add on the petrol to drive from Bristol to Swindon and back with the paperwork, because that is the nearest registar that does the checking and there is your £1000. Typical govt robbing bar stewards :)

How long has all this nonsense been going on?

I never had any of this garbage. Wife met with solicitor and there was some sort of swearing in after all her documents were checked (marriage cert; time in UK; still living with me; house address and so on) and then a letter to say she was Brit Cit and entitled to a passport (if she wanted / if she paid).

This new bureaucracy from Labour / EU??

Good to see you again Daley! I'm not aroundmuch these days, but really good to see you on here. Wish you a speedy recovery from Ribs, b1tchy milk carts, and grumpy employers.

COngrats on the Nipper's upcoming 4th (!!!already??!!)

Moss, nice summation of events. Must have been a fine Single that evening! :)
