Tyre failure leads to truck crash

PATTAYA:-- Late on Monday afternoon a six-wheel truck which had been used as an outdoor broadcast station during the Pattaya Music Festival blew a tyre on the northern part of Second Road, veered sharply and toppled into a parked sedan.

It will be interesting to know the state of the tyre before it burst. Lack of legislation in Thailand means that tyres are often very much the worse for wear, even on passenger buses. Now that IS something Thailand can learn from the UK.

Commercial vehicles do actually have to go through an annual check here before they get their tax disc! Believe it or not!
